On Arrival

Collect your key from the key box, which is located under the first covered walk-through.  You will be provided with the code for your property's key box before you arrive. 

Groceries

You will find a few provisions in your accommodation to start you off - milk, bread, cheese, tea, coffee, etc.  Should you have family or friends on island, we would be happy for them to deliver provisions to the property before you arrive.  Please do let us know if this is what you are planning though, so that we know to expect them.   There are contact details at the bottom of this page for grocery delivery services, with Isle Deliver also offering hampers of specialist produce and treats, which sound lovely!  Please arrange for groceries to be delivered to your accommodation after your arrival time, as we may not be around to accept delivery.  When placing an order please make it known that you are self-isolating.

Housekeeping and Laundry

We will provide you with a set of cleaning products, including cloths, disinfectant spray, broom, dustpan & brush, specialist laundry bags, black bags, disposable gloves, washing-up liquid, disinfectant liquid and sanitiser.  We kindly ask you to maintain good hygiene in the property during this period.   There will be a spare set of bedding, towels, bathmat and tea towel in your property so that you can refresh after your first week (if isolating for more than 7 days).  We have protocols in place for safely managing the laundry of guests who are self-isolating.  Please be aware that all laundry will be washed at 60 degrees.  There is a clothes airer in the property so that you can hand wash and dry items should you wish.

Should you be staying with us beyond your self-isolation period,  the weekly housekeeping service will resume after you provide confirmation that you have tested negative for Covid on the final day of your mandated isolation. 

Household Waste

Outside of the 14-day self-isolation period, we request that guests adopt the recycling policy (information provided in the Guest Handbook).   However, when you are self-isolating, all waste must be placed in black bags which are to be tied when full.  Please contact the Ellingham Office to arrange a suitable time to leave out for collection.  If you are feeling unwell with any symptoms relating to Covid-19, do not put it out for collection until the test results are back.  If the test is positive, you will be instructed what to do with the waste. 

Outdoors and Facilities

During the self-isolation period, you must not leave your property.  Although it may be tempting, you will not be able to use the garden or its facilities, e.g. rotary line dryers, wendy house etc. during your self-isolation period, as it is a shared space.  We have a Guest Library which is well-stocked with books, DvDs and games.  We are happy to provide you with a decent selection on request.  They can stay in your property until after your self-isolation period is finished.

Work & Relax

There is a good WiFi service, with decent speeds for working and streaming movies etc.  We can help you with any print requirements that you may have.   There is  32" Sony TV with digital freesat channels, including Netflix, BBC iPlayer, ITV, Channel 4 etc.  There is also a DvD player.

Leaving your Property

You must remain in your property from the time of your arrival through to being notified of a negative test result on your final day of isolation.  The only valid reasons for leaving your property are in the event of a fire, or to receive medical care, or to attend your test appointment.  

Notification of illness

If you experience symptoms (see here for a full list), no matter how mild, contact BOTH

(a)   the Coronavirus helpline on 01481 756938 or 01481 756969.  They are there to give you advice seven days a week between 8am and 10pm. Tell them your travel history.

If you subsequently receive a positive test result, please inform us as soon as possible.
