Travel Information

Getting to Guernsey couldn't be easier, with regular flights from eleven airports across the UK, plus more options from Europe. Travelling to The Ellingham Cottages is then only 10 minutes from the airport. You can be relaxing with a drink at The Ellingham Cottages in little over an hour after departing the UK!

Should you wish to travel by sea, Condor Ferries operate a fast ferry service from Poole that takes 3 hours. The conventional ferry service operates from Portsmouth - but does take around 6 hours. Arriving from France on the Condor is via St Malo. The Ellingham Cottages is only a bus journey, or 5 minutes drive from the harbour.

Getting to The Ellingham Cottages from Guernsey airport or St Peter Port harbour couldn't be easier.  Click below to find out how to find us - by car, bus or taxi.

Inter-Island - Herm and Sark

No holiday in Guernsey is complete without a trip to the wonderful islands of Herm or Sark. It is easy to jump upon an inter-island boat and less than 30 minutes later experience beauty and tranquility at its most pure . We can't recommend either island highly enough.

The local bus network is a cheap and reliable way to get around, with the nearest bus stop only minutes away from The Ellingham Cottages. From here, there are frequent buses into St Peter Port and even a circular route that will take you all around the island - perfect for hopping off whenever you spot anything that catches your interest!

Like in the UK, we drive on the left in Guernsey and with a speed limit of only 35 miles per hour, it is a great way to explore the island. Parking across the island is free with a parking clock (which we can provide). There are many car hire companies offering a range of vehicles... or let someone else show you the way and take a taxi! Taxi tours also available.
